Wholesale Guidelines

Payment Terms

All purchases are COD and payments must be made by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), or check at the time of check out.

Qualified House accounts for schools, non-profit organizations and botanical gardens must be approved in advance by filling out a Rohsler’s Allendale Nursery Wholesale credit application. If the organization is tax exempt a tax-exempt form must be filled out and submitted along with credit application. Credit accounts are payable within NET 30 days. A 2% per month finance charge will be applied to all purchases past due. Failure to pay finance charge will result in a loss of credit.

Claims

All plants sold are guaranteed healthy and true to name. Any claims due to damages or shortages must be reported within 24 hours of purchase or delivery. Any claims due to plant losses must be reported within 7 days of purchase. Plant material purchased while dormant cannot be returned after it has been planted from its original container. Plants sold dormant are healthy and viable but are subject to winter loss depending on planting time and technique, extreme or unexpected winter weather, late frosts, or lack of winter protection or irrigation.

Wholesale Prices are subject to change without notice and may differ from Rohsler’s Wholesale availability list.

Sales Tax

6.625% sales tax will be charged on all purchases. Perennials delivered into Orange or Rockland County, Westchester County and New York City will be subject to prevailing NY State and County tax rates. Landscape contractors are not exempt from paying sales tax in New Jersey. Only purchases accompanied with a legitimate tax exempt form fully completed and signed will be exempt from sales tax.

Special and On Hold Orders

All wholesale perennial orders placed and/or held will require a non-refundable 25% deposit by credit card or house account on file. Orders will be held up to seven days. Orders not picked up by a customer within the 7 day time-period will result in forfeiture of all non-refundable charges and plants. Holding plant material that is close to full bloom or in full bloom is at the discretion of Rohsler’s Nursery.

Custom Grow Service

We offer our Custom Grow Service providing our customers the capability to order larger quantities of plants for special projects as well as rare, specialty and hard to find plants. All custom grow orders are quoted separately. Each plant custom grown will require minimum quantities*.

A deposit of 1/3 the total cost will be needed at time of order, Another 1/3 due at time of planting. A final 1/3 will be due at time of pickup or delivery. Cancellations will cause a forfeit/loss of all deposit(s)

Disclaimer

Unfortunately, when dealing with living plants, unexpected losses can occur. In the event of such losses on custom orders, Rohsler’s will refund the customer all deposits but will not be held liable for anything beyond this.

Delivery

We do not ship any plants by mail or shipping service.

Local Delivery Area

0 – 5 miles*: a minimum delivery fee of $50 or 10% of your order (minimum plant order of $100)

6 – 10 miles*: a minimum delivery fee of $60 plus 10% of your order (minimum plant order of $300)

11 – 15 miles*: a minimum delivery fee of $80 plus 10% of your order (minimum plant order of $500)

16 -20 miles*: a minimum delivery fee of $100 plus 10% of your order (minimum plant order of $700)

Over 20 miles*: quoted upon request (minimum plant order of $900); delivery fees and tolls apply

Delivery fees are based on the quantity of plants and proximity to Rohsler’s Allendale Nursery.

Deliveries into New York City require a minimum order of $750 or more. The minimum delivery fee of $275 or greater plus tolls and parking also apply to each order delivered. Delivery rates will be quoted on an individual basis.

*Mileage is based on actual mileage from Rohsler’s Allendale Nursery to drop-off destination as determined by Google Maps, based on the route selected by the driver.

Delivery Damage Claims

Claims for damages and shortages must be noted at time of delivery and unloading. Customers must meet trucks, unload and receive the delivered plant material at the arranged delivery time.
